ONCE UPON A TIME

NURSERY

Where Children Live Happily Ever After

Day care Nursery

Once Upon a Time Nursery is where children can discover, achieve and express themselves through play and where parents/carers feel confident to leave their child in a safe environment. We are committed to providing a high level of care and therefore seek to recruit well trained qualified members of staff with a compassionate and caring outlook. We pride ourselves in ensuring our staff will be offered a full and varied program of training opportunities which will benefit them as individuals, the children and parents within the setting.

About

Our Vision

We aim to provide a secure, stimulating and caring environment that is welcoming and will encourage children to develop to their full potential. We are committed to providing the highest standard of care in a homely atmosphere whilst actively promoting equal opportunities and continuing to provide effective learning opportunities for all children.

Eat Better, Do Better Our Menus

we work under the guidelines of The Children Food Trust ‘Eat Better, Do Better’ which helps early years’ providers and practitioners encourage children to eat well and learn about food in their early years, which not only protects their health when they are young, but also sets the foundations for their future health and wellbeing. Our menus are planned and changed seasonally developing our children’s learning and providing teaching opportunities. “Early years settings provide an ideal opportunity to help every child eat well, enjoy a varied diet and establish healthy eating habits to take with them into their school years.”

Parent Partnership

Parent Partnership – ‘parents are children’s first and most enduring educators’ (Curriculum Guidance for the Foundation Stage, QCA 2000) we believe that making partnerships with parents and carers is essential for us to plan effectively for each child’s learning. As a setting we do this through sharing information, parents feedback, parents committee, parents evenings and on entry information and observations.
